Female and male population of Nepal as per census 2021

Nepal census results for 2021 indicate that 51.1% (14,911,027) of the population is female. It revealed that there are 95.59 males per100 females. Out of 77 districts, 60 have a higher female population than males. Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Bara, Parsa, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Makwanpur, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Rasuwa, Manang, Mustang, Jumla, Mugu and Humla districts have higher number of males compared to females.
